I am a Biologist, working on Teaching and Research at Pathophysiology department of the University of Buenos Aires, and Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine-IBIMOL-UBA/CONICET, (National Council for Scientific Research). My Mentor and Director is Dr. Maria Ines Vaccaro , and my research is focused on th identification and characterization of key pathophysiological processes involved in complex diseases of the digestive tract, moreover in the study of molecues that are differently expressed during acute pancreatitis and other pathologies .Our work is focused on the molecular mechanisms and roles of a novel autophagy related transmembrane protein called Vacuole Membrane Protein 1 (VMP1) in autophagic response to complex diseases.
